Swords
14 cards
Swords are the air suit — thought, truth, conflict, and the double-edged power of the mind. When Swords dominate your reading, clarity is available, but it may arrive with pain.
About this category
How the Story Unfolds
Ace → Four: Breakthrough. A flash of clarity or truth you cannot ignore (Ace), two ideas in uneasy balance (Two), heartbreak or painful honesty (Three), forced rest after mental exhaustion (Four).
Five → Seven: Conflict. Winning the argument but losing something bigger (Five), retreating toward calmer ground (Six), strategy, deception, or working behind the scenes (Seven).
Eight → Ten: Crisis and Release. Trapped in your own thinking — anxiety, powerlessness (Eight), sleepless worry at its worst (Nine), rock bottom — but the certainty that things rise from here (Ten).
Court Cards: The People. Page speaks uncomfortable truths. Knight charges into debate. Queen sees through everything. King judges with authority.
