Major Arcana

The 22 Major Arcana cards map a journey from innocence to wholeness — The Fool's leap into the unknown through to The World's completion. When these cards appear in a reading, something bigger than daily routine is at work.
About this category
The Journey in Three Acts
Act I (0–VII): Building Your World. The Fool starts with nothing but possibility. The Magician acts. The High Priestess listens. Empress nurtures, Emperor structures, Hierophant teaches. The Lovers choose. The Chariot drives forward.
Act II (VIII–XIV): Testing What You Built. Strength holds steady under pressure. The Hermit withdraws to find truth. The Wheel turns beyond your control. Justice weighs consequences. The Hanged Man surrenders perspective. Death clears what no longer serves. Temperance slowly rebuilds.
Act III (XV–XXI): Breaking Through. The Devil exposes what binds you. The Tower shatters what cannot hold. Then — The Star restores hope, The Moon surfaces fears, The Sun brings clarity, Judgement calls you to account, and The World completes the cycle.
What It Means When They Show Up
3+ Major Arcana in one spread = forces beyond your control are active. This is not about what to do tomorrow — it is about who you are becoming.
Cards from the same act reinforce each other. Three Act I cards? You are building something new. Three Act III cards? Something old is ending to make room.
Two Major cards side by side amplify through tension. The Fool + Death is not disaster — it is a profound ending that opens radical possibility. The Devil + The Star asks if you can find hope while still entangled.
